Hand-bound book to house a collection of voicemails gathered over the years—messages sent intentionally and those left by accident, from both family and friends. I transcribed and interpreted most of the dialogue when it was difficult to decode.

Physical format: Small, intimate volume 6.5× 4 inches with exposed spine with Coptic stitch to reflect rawness and fragility.

• Structure: Organized entries chronologically or thematically ( love, loss, humor, confusion)

• Visual elements: Incorporate found ephemera—photo fragments, ticket stubs, small sketches—or faded ink splatters to suggest interference and static. Used redactions or blurred lines in places where transcription was intentionally obscured

• Use of translucent tissue interleaves to mimic the partial, layered nature of voicemail memory.

• Selective erasures and overwritten lines to visually represent misinterpretation and the act of decoding.

Outcome: A tactile, intimate artifact that preserves voices as fragments; both precise and elusive which invite readers to navigate the porous boundary between recorded message and remembered meaning.
